PlayStation already launched a new mobile game, but has not announced it

It’s clear that PlayStation is hell-bent on expanding the reach of its properties to PC, but also mobile. The company did not specify which games it works on, saying only that it would be bringing “some PlayStation IP” to these systems. It was expected that there would still be a long time to see the first product of this new initiative, but the truth is that it is already possible to play the first one.

Sony has given a lot to talk about due to its expansion process and today we know that among its plans to bring its franchises to mobile phones is Sackboy, the character who managed to become one of the brand’s icons since his debut in the PlayStation 3 title LittleBigPlanet.

PlayStation released a new mobile game of sackboy unannounced?

If this takes you by surprise, know that you are not the only one. We say this because so far neither Sony nor PlayStation have announced a new installment starring Sackboy.

However, it is almost a fact that it is a completely new and official project, since already has an official page in the Google Play Store. In fact, the title has already been downloaded 100,000 times. On this page it is also possible to see some images of the game.

Judging by the first details, it would be an endless runner-style game in which there will be interaction with other players online.

How to play ultimate sackboy?

However, there is a detail that you must take into account, since the game is not officially available to all players. What we mean is that, although it was already “released”, it was in the Early Access stage and only select players have been able to play it. For this reason if you look for it in the navigation bar of the Google Play Store you will not find it.

Pete Smith, Tencent’s vice president in charge of collaborations, confirmed the above and asked to wait for more information when the project is close to its launch “in the future”.

A premiere window is unknown, but, as reported Eurogamerthis week gameplay of the game came to light (it was already deleted), which indicates that the project managers are still testing it and could suggest that there will be news soon.

Another detail that draws attention is that Tencent would be involved in the development either through a new studio or perhaps Sumo Digital is in charge again, which is a developer who already knows the franchise.
