Recently, in an interview for the Bloomberg media, Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, spoke about the future of the company. He clarified that games like Call of Duty, after the purchase of Activision Blizzard, will not be exclusive to Xbox.

“It’s something we’re going to see less and less.” commented sharply. “Maybe you have an Xbox at home and I bought a PlayStation and our kids want to play together but can’t because we bought the wrong plastic box to plug into our TV.
What we really want is to be able to bring more players into the game and reduce potential friction. Make people feel safe when they play by allowing them to find all their friends. Play with your friends regardless of device. And I think in the long run that’s good for this industry.
And maybe in the short term, there are some people in some companies who don’t like that idea. But I think as we get over the hump and see where this industry can continue to grow, it shows that it can be done.”, he added.
