( Spanish) — The Peruvian Judiciary ordered a 36-month ban on leaving the country for Keiko Fujimori and seven other people in the framework of an investigation for the crime of money laundering, the agency announced on Wednesday.
The measure announced by the Peruvian Justice also prohibits the former candidate for the presidency of Peru from changing her tax domicile, among other series of “rules of conduct.”
Keiko Fujimori, daughter of former President Alberto Fujimori, has been investigated by the Peruvian Prosecutor’s Office since 2018 in the framework of the “Odebrecht case”, for allegedly having received irregular contributions from this company for his presidential campaigns.
The former candidate has previously denied those accusations and affirmed her innocence.
