Through the Embassy in Korea, Peru He participated at the “Seoul Friendship Festival” (SFF) held at the “Seoul Plaza” in downtown Seoul, an event that is very popular among citizens living in the Korean capital.
The SFF has the participation of various communities and accredited embassies. It should be noted that after 3 years of pandemic the event was held in person
The Vice Mayor of Seoul, Kim Eui Seung, ambassadors, members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Korea and the general public participated in the opening ceremony.
Peru participated in different programs such as music, by Maestro Ángel Puma, who performed 4 Peruvian songs.
A handicraft sales stand was also installed, managed by Peruvian nationals who are dedicated to this type of enterprise, in collaboration with the Embassy; an area of typical costumes, where various costumes were presented.
The costumes were worn by visitors to the fair and photos could be taken with them. The stand was administered by the Peruvian Embassy.
Finally, there was a stand selling typical dishes such as: rice with chicken, rice with seafood, ceviche, among others, and which was managed by people who are dedicated to this type of business.
It should be noted that the Peruvian participation was very well received and the stands were well attended by the public, due to the wide variety of handicrafts, costumes and food that the Latin American country had, and the great knowledge and appreciation that Korean society has. for the Peruvian culture.
