TOLEDO, March 27 () –
Peppa Pig arrives in Spain for the first time, after having traveled to Australia, New Zealand or Ireland, through Beascoa’s book ‘Peppa y los molinos’, which will be in bookstores starting this Thursday, March 30.
In this new illustrated album Peppa Pig becomes the most popular character in Spanish literature, Don Quixote de la Mancha, and lives an exciting adventure fighting windmills, rescuing princesses and riding through the plains of Castilla-La Mancha.
Illustrated and designed by Albert Aromir, the book is an opportunity to bring this classic closer to the little ones in the house in a close and entertaining way. With a large format and hardcover, children will find a hilarious adventure of Peppa Pig, who will be surrounded by knights, princesses and giants through a delicious, musical and very funny rhyming text.
Little readers will have a great time with the adventures of their favorite characters in the universe of the writer Miguel de Cervantes while parents will revive readings and myths of the culture in a way that they could never have imagined before, Beascoa reported in a statement.
Beascoa’s literary director, Álex Fernández, has highlighted that “publishing this book represents a very important milestone for the label. For more than 10 years we have published the adventures of Peppa Pig, and although we had created original works, they were all non-fiction books , focusing on professions, seasons, ecology, and other educational themes. In contrast, this is the first time we’ve created from scratch and illustrated, following the cues of eOne and Hasbro, a new and totally local story, a story that unites the queen of children’s literature and the king of chivalric books”.
‘Peppa and the windmills’ is the first book in a Beascoa project that aims to publish new original Peppa Pig stories. The next book will arrive in November of this year, through a new story where Peppa will be transferred to another magical universe of our culture, this time much closer to children’s imagination, to the world of the Three Wise Men.
