This programme, organized by the Association of European Research Libraries (BAST in English) and the Hernán Santa Cruz Library (ECLAC Library), is designed to provide a comprehensive knowledge base on Citizen Science, providing participants with the methodologies and tools necessary to develop effective institutional policies and strategies. It also offers recommendations and best practices for the formulation and implementation of Citizen Science projects that connect science with the community; in addition to sharing experiences that have been developed successfully.
The central objective is to highlight the impact of Citizen Science and the processes behind research activity, as well as the difference that citizen science has made in the quality of research, contributing to the identification of solutions to global social challenges. .
Who can attend?
This program is aimed at librarians, researchers, and policy makers at research institutions interested in starting or driving Citizen Science initiatives. Likewise, it will allow participants to acquire the tools and skills necessary to design and implement successful Citizen Science projects.

Six webinars of 90 minutes each, spread over three half-days (November 18-20, 2024). Three webinars in English, organized by the LIBER Citizen Science Working Group and three webinars in Spanish, organized by the ECLAC Library.
