Paraguay awards Minister Hayashi with the National Order of Merit

Within the framework of the official visit to Paraguay by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Yoshimasa Hayashi, the national chancellor, ambassador Julio César Arriola Ramírez, today awarded him the Decoration of the National Order of Merit in the Degree of Extraordinary Grand Cross, for Decree No. 9236 of the Presidency of the Republic of Paraguay, of April 28, 2023.

The ceremony took place in the office of Foreign Minister Arriola after the private meeting held by both authorities.

The National Order of Merit is the highest civil and military distinction awarded by the Republic of Paraguay to distinguished people who have distinguished themselves in a meritorious manner and who have contributed to the country in an extraordinary way. It was instituted by President Mariscal Francisco Solano López on April 8, 1865.
