The entity revealed that in Colombia, 76.3% of households surveyed consume three days a day. This implies 10% more when compared to the same month during 2021. Now, 22.6% eat twice a day.

Only 1.1% eat once a day and 0.1% eat less than once.

This data changes if one takes into account which households have children or adolescents under 18 years of age. The 73% of these have all three meals, while 79.2% do not have minors in their family nucleus.

The cities with the highest percentage of households with the three meals is Riohacha, Santa Marta and Cucuta. On the other hand, the least are Sincelejo, Cartagena and Florencia.

The survey also revealed that 41.4% of households think that the economic situation is pworse than 12 months ago. In contrast, 13% say that it is better and 1.13% much better.

In this case, there is more optimism on the part of Colombian households. 30.2% of those surveyed expect that within 12 months their economic situation will improve. In turn, 3.2% believe that it will be much better.

(Also: Colombia will grow 6.3% in 2022, according to the IMF).

On the other hand, 43.2% consider that the situation will be the same, 19.1% say that it will be worse and 4.3% much worse.
