Palworld will expand with a mobile game

The community in general thinks that the future of Palworld is uncertain, as Nintendo and The Pokémon Company recently sued Pocketpair. Despite this legal conflict, the independent studio has continued to work to expand its popular franchise, which originally debuted for Xbox and PC.

a few days ago, pocketpair announced by surprise the arrival of Palworld to PlayStation 5. Additionally, we know that it has an agreement with Sony to expand the IP in several ways. Now, the developer announced a new alliance that will also help the growth of the saga.

Through a statement, Pocketpair confirmed that it will work together with Krafton in a new game of Palworld. The South Korean company obtained the licensing rights to bring the title to more devices with a project that has not yet been revealed.

Palworld will expand with a mobile game

Pocketpair and Krafton signed a licensing agreement to expand Palworld to mobile devices. This will be possible thanks to the development of a new game for iOS and Android which will reimagine and adapt the mechanics of the original title for consoles and PC.

The project will be in charge of PUBG Studiosa Krafton subsidiary that, as its name indicates, works on the still successful Battle Royale. For now, there are no specific details about the game, we only know that it will return to the core of Palworld to adapt it to mobiles.

The studios will share more information about this in the future. The new project makes it clear that Pocketpair will continue to expand the reach of its popular franchise despite the legal battle it has with Nintendo.

The lawsuit affected the release of the game on PlayStation 5, but only in Japan. This suggests that the new mobile title would have no problems, at least for now, making its global debut. The thing is, the project is apparently in early stages of development and it’s unclear when it will debut. So, everything will depend on how the conflict between Nintendo and Pocketpair evolves.
