Palestinian PM urges UN to urgently intervene to stop Israeli 'massacre' in Gaza

May 13. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The Palestinian prime minister, Mohamed Shtayé, has requested this Saturday the urgent intervention of the UN to stop the “massacre” of the Israeli Armed Forces in the West Bank and in the Gaza Strip, where 33 Palestinians have already died. Two more people, an Israeli and a Gazan, have been killed by the impact of Palestinian rockets on Israeli soil.

Shtayé has also called for “activating International Law”, imposing an economic boycott on Israel and ensuring that those responsible do not go unpunished.

In particular, he referred to the attack this morning in the Balata camp, near Nablus, where two young Palestinians were killed, as well as “the crimes committed against our people in the Gaza Strip, “prolongation of the policy of assassinations, destruction and displacement practiced by the Zionist gangs against our people during the Nakba (Catastrophe) of 1948, which will be remembered the day after tomorrow, Monday May 15”. Thus, Shtayé has transferred his condolences to the families of the “martyrs”.

“The crimes of the occupation will not make the people give up in their struggle to achieve their goals, with freedom, independence and the creation of their State with Jerusalem as the Capital and the right of return of the refugees,” he added.
