The Palestinian authorities have denounced this Thursday the death of a seven-year-old boy after falling from a high point while “fleeing from the occupation forces” in the surroundings of the West Bank town of Tekoa.
The Tekoa City Council has indicated in a brief message on its account on the social network Facebook that the boy is Rayan Yaser Ali Suleiman and has added that he was fleeing from soldiers “of the occupation Army” who “persecuted students”.
The death has been confirmed by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, which has pointed out through Facebook that the child was admitted to the Beit Jala Public Hospital, where he died “after falling from a high point while being persecuted by occupation forces” .
According to information provided by Israeli Army Radio, the boy had thrown stones at several soldiers and fell when the soldiers tried to stop him. The Army has stressed that it is investigating what happened.
