The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced this Saturday that at least two young people have died and eleven other people have been injured during a “large-scale” assault by the Israeli Army on the refugee camp in the West Bank town of Jenin.

The operation was aimed at a former released Palestinian prisoner, identified as Salé Abu Zina, whose house was surrounded by soldiers and bulldozers, with the intention of arresting his son Mohamed and his brother, Salé, according to the official Palestinian news agency Wafa.

The two young people have been identified as Mahmud Al Sus and Ahmed Mohamed Husein Daragme, both 16 years old, and at least three of the injured are in serious condition, according to a statement from the Ministry collected by the Palestinian agency Maan.

In addition, Rudeina has warned that the Israeli escalation “pushes things towards an explosion, towards a point of no return that will have devastating consequences for everyone.”

It is no longer acceptable that there is a double standard,” she has riveted.
