Overwatch Begins Account Merge Process to Prepare for Cross-Progression

“With the launch of cross-progression, you will be able to merge multiple Overwatch accounts to progress and have in-game cosmetics on a single Overwatch 2 profile,” explains the development team. “Starting August 16, if you have a linked console account, you will receive a prompt upon login to identify, select, and confirm the accounts you want to merge. “Progress from linked console accounts will be stored in your Battle.net account, just like cosmetic items,” adds the studio. For PC gamers the process is much easier and quicker since everyone already uses a Battle.net account. On this platform, your Overwatch progress will automatically carry over to Overwatch 2, and there will be the option to merge any console account to your Battle.net account.
