The developer announced the second installment of Overwatch during the 2019 Blizzcon celebration, and although its launch was scheduled for this year, it has also been affected by some delays that have postponed it until October.

The company has explained in a thread on reddit that this second installment will replace Overwatch when it is officially available, and as part of this change, credits, tokens and competition points will be migrated to the new game.
Nevertheless, loot boxes cannot be transferredsince this element will not exist in Overwatch 2. In this case, the company informs that players will find the items contained in closed boxes in their account, that is, they will open automatically in the migration.
