Unfortunately, the experience of gamers has not been the best.

If you install the game, the first thing you will see is a loading screen indicating the huge queue of players who want to enter. Initially, Blizzard announced that it was a DDoS attack.

However, this version has been questioned after the phone number filter has been put in place to be able to enter with a two-step verification and that it has been two days with the same problems.

Through the game’s official blog, Blizzard shared some measures they are taking.

From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. the same day (PDT), they shared the following update: “we are making significant updates to our databases to address player queues. Players will not be able to access the servers during this time”.

The protection system by telephone number will be withdrawn

We designed Overwatch 2 to be a live service, which allows us to respond to a variety of player feedback. We have made the decision to remove phone number requirements for most existing Overwatch players. Any Overwatch player with an account connected, which includes all players who have played since June 9, 2021, you will not have to provide a phone number to play. We are working on making this change and expect it to be available on Friday, October 7. We will update the players once it is live”.
