The BigScreen Beyond They are glasses whose main advantage is that promise to be the smallest on the market and weigh only 127 grams. They promise to offer a resolution of 2,560 x 2,560 for each eye, that is, 5,120 x 2,560 pixels in total through the use of micro OLED screens with 90 Hz refresh rate.
Its total measurements are 143.1 x 52.4 mm, with a minimum thickness of 24 mm.
These screens use new lenses that reduce the thickness and the distance between screens and eyes. In addition, each glasses adapts to the user’s face, which is why it is necessary to send a 3D scan of the user’s face before purchasing them.
Naturally, they don’t have internal hardware capable of running applications and games on their own like the Meta Quest 2, but rather a computer that runs the software. Of course, the BigScreen Beyond are compatible with SteamVR, so the catalog of applications and games that they support will be extensive.
They can be reserved right now, although they will not hit the market until the third quarter of this year 2023 and only in the US. The rest of the countries will have to wait for the last quarter of the year onwards.
Its price will be 999 dollars in reserve, an amount that rises to 1,370 euros in our country.
