The Court sentenced Ramón Emilio and Andrés Felipe Pérez Hoyos, two brothers and Colombian citizens that they had accepted their responsibility in the financing and planning of the crime that ended the life of the Paraguayan prosecutor, Marcelo Pecci, on May 10, 2022.
“The investigation showed that the two sentenced men held several meetings with others involved in the homicide to provide them with inputs and finalize details. Likewise, it was accredited that they had 1,600 million pesos to carry out the criminal action on a private beach on Isla Barú (Cartagena), on May 10, 2022, ”says the statement from the control entity.
Given the evidence presented by the Colombian Prosecutor’s Office, a judge decided to sentence them to 25 years and six months in prison for their participation in the murder of Prosecutor Pecci.
The murder was perpetrated on the Isla de Barú in the city of Cartagena, in the department of Bolívar, when the Paraguayan official was enjoying his honeymoon in Colombia, with his partner, the journalist Claudia Aguilera.

“They used a firearm and used other people, such as Cristian Camilo Monsalvo Londoño, Marisol Londoño Bedoya, Francisco Luis Correa Galeano, Gabriel Carlos Luis Salinas Mendosa, among others,” the prosecutor said at the sentencing hearing.
