One dead and 15 injured after a Russian shelling of a hospital in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro

At least one person has died and 15 were injured, two in critical condition, in a Russian attack this Friday with missiles against a hospital in the city of Dnipro, in eastern Ukraine, as confirmed by Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky. Among the wounded are two kids.

In a video posted on social networks you can see the badly damaged building, with smoke coming out of it, and with the rescue teams working with the injured. “Russian terrorists once again confirm their status as combatants against everything human and honest following a rocket attack on a Dnipro clinic,” Zelensky wrote on the Telegram messaging app.

“For now, one person died and 15 were injured. Work is underway to counter the aftermath of the bombing and the victims are being rescued. All necessary services are involved. My condolences to the family of the deceased. We must defeat these inhumans irrevocably and as soon as possible. Because our time is our people. And our people are the most precious thing in Ukraine.”

Ukrainian officials said early Friday that air defenses had shot down 10 missiles and more than 20 drones launched by Russia in night attacks against the capital, kyiv, Dnipro and the eastern regions.
