Officials who disappeared while traveling through Tamaulipas were released

( Spanish) The governor of Coahuila, Miguel Riquelme, reported this Saturday in Twitter that a group of officials with whom contact was lost this Friday night, when they were returning aboard two vehicles from an event in the state of Oaxaca, have been released.

In another message, Riquelme reported: “In a few moments I will update the information, once they are in contact with our reaction police, which is already on its way for them.”

Previously, reported that the Coahuila state government secretary indicated this Saturday on its Twitter account that they were looking for the mayor of the municipality of Guerrero and a group of municipal officials with whom they lost contact this Friday night, when they returned aboard two vehicles from an event in the state of Oaxaca.

In total, there are 9 people they are looking for.

The authorities detailed that “the events occurred while crossing the city of Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, when they warned that they were being persecuted by two trucks with armed men, after which communication with them was lost.”
