The model of this service consists of a monthly subscription, which gives access to different games such as Cyberpunk 2077, Farcry 6, Life Is Strange, Battlefield V or the popular Genshin Impact and Fortnite, among others.
According to Nvidia’s announcement, this service will be available on the vehicles of some initial partners, which will be BYD, Hyundai and Polestar. “Gaming is an economically viable industry,” Shapiro explained in relation to the decision to incorporate this service in cars. “The subscription payment (to GeForce NOW) will not go up, but its value to the user will.”
Shapiro also explained that while a Wi-Fi connection is the idea to use this Nvidia service, in the case of cars a “reliable connection” to a 4G or 5G network will be required for the best gaming experience.
Foxconn and Nvidia team up to create an automated electric vehicle
In other automotive-related announcements, Shapiro shared that Foxconn is developing an electric and autonomous vehicle powered by Nvidia Drive, a platform that uses high-performance computing and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to process data and locate the car in a map to plan and execute the safest route.
