NVIDIA is using one of the games that more resources consume if we decide to play with the highest possible quality, the cyberpunk 2077. On this occasion he has taken advantage To present he new patch coming on april 11 for this game, and which will include the new Overdrive mode with full ray tracing technology much more real. But the problem is the performance offered by this game when we do not use DLSS 3 that accelerates the FPS, leaving scenes that show as fast as 16 frames per second on the top of the range card.
If we enable RayTracing without DLSS and with a 4K resolution, the fps result does not exceed 40while if we also use DLSS3 we get more than triple the FPS thanks to frame generation technology. What it does not tell us is that by using DLSS we sacrifice image quality to get better FPS rate. Even so, NVIDIA is working together with CD Projekt Red to optimize the performance of this game and fix any bugs found.
It has also shown us that with this new Cyberpunk 2077 patch it will be possible to use the new NVIDIA RTX Direct Illumination. This free SDK will allow to replicate the shadows in scenes, even casting physically correct soft shadows, plus quality enhancement that will reflect greater detail and depth on the objects.
