The new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti were officially announced on May 18, however, at the moment only the 8 GB VRAM variant is available in the market since May 24, and the 16 GB RTX 4060 Ti still it did not have a release date.
NVIDIA assured that it would arrive in July for about 559 euros ($499) but now the specific launch day in stores has been leaked: It will be July 18, two months after its announcement.
The 16 GB RTX 4060 Ti will have the same specifications as the 8 GB model, only the memory capacity will change. Therefore, we have an ADA Lovelace GPU with 4,352 CUDA Cores at a base frequency of 2,310 MHz that goes up to 2,535 MHz boost. Alongside these CUDA Cores, 34 RT Cores handle hardware acceleration of ray tracing, and 136 Tensor Cores handle inference for AI tasks like DLSS 3.
The 16 GB of GDDR6 memory maintains its 18 Gbps and its 128-bit data bus. In fact, this bus is partly responsible for the existence of this variant, since with 128 bits they could develop the model with 8 and 16 GB, while other superior graphics such as the RTX 4070 with 192 bits, had to stay at 12. GB or jump to 24 GB (a figure that NVIDIA considers excessive).
The 16 GB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti will only arrive in manufacturers-customized versions and there will be no NVIDIA Founders Edition version like the 8 GB RTX 4060 Ti.
