AMD FSR 2.2 technology was already available through a plugin for the Unreal Engine 5 graphics engine. Now, NVIDIA has announced that DLSS 3the latest version of its scaling system Deep Learning SuperSampling with AI in-between frame generationalso comes to the famous Epic Games graphics engine, Unreal Engine 5.2.
This technology combines the scaling mode that we already saw in DLSS 2, with the frame generation system, both taking advantage of the Tensor Cores and the AI capabilities of the company’s GeForce RTX graphics (although NVIDIA limits it only to the RTX 40 ). In addition, latency reduction technology is also integrated NVIDIA Reflex in the equation.
With this release, all games using the latest generation of Unreal Engine 5 (5.2) graphics engine will be able to easily integrate DLSS 3 technology and allow users to improve the performance of their systems.
The plugin that adds DLSS 3 to Unreal Engine 5.2 is available in a single download that includes the DLSS, Frame Generator, and Reflex plugins. Developers will only have to download the file and put it in the /Engine/Plugins/MarketPlace folder of Unreal Engine 5.2, in addition to installing it from the Unreal Editor in the Plugins tab.
