Nvidia brings GeForce NOW cloud gaming service to Steam Deck and headsets from Meta, Apple and Pico

Jan. 7 (Portaltic/EP) –

The cloud gaming service GeForce NOW has been extended to more devices, with its application supporting the Steam Deck handheld console and Apple’s virtual and mixed reality headsets, Meta and Pico.

Nvidia has announced the launch of the GeForce NOW application for the Steam Deck portable console, allowing players to access titles in their Steam library in GeForce RTX quality.

This way, when the Steam Deck is connected to a TV, the GeForce NOW app will offer games with 4K resolution at 60 frames per second and high dynamic range (HDR).

Steam Deck users will also be able to access the GeForce NOW Ultimate subscription, which enhances the image with Nvidia DLSS neural rendering technology, and reduces latency with Nvidia Reflex.

This announcement, made within the framework of the CES 2025 consumer electronics fair in Las Vegas (United States), marks the extension of Nvidia’s cloud gaming service to new devices, including virtual reality headsets.

At the end of the month, the devices Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest 3 and 3S and Pico will have support for accessing virtual reality games through GeForce NOW in the browser, with version 2.0.70 of the application.

Nvidia has also announced the addition of more AAA titles for PC, such as Avowed, from Obsidian Entertainment, and DOOM: The Dark Ages, id Software.
