July 11 (Portaltic/EP) –
Nothing has presented the new Phone (2), a phone that repeats features similar to its predecessor -such as the Glyph interface, which increases its number of LED segments this time, and the rear transparent casing-, although it expands its OLED screen to 6.7 inches with LTPO technology.
The company has commented that with this terminal it offers “better features”, while promoting “a more conscious use of the ‘smartphone’ through innovation in the design of ‘hardware’ and ‘software’, in the words of its CEO Carl Pei.
One year after the premiere of Nothing in mobile telephony, it has presented Phone (2), a device that maintains the aesthetics of its predecessorwith transparent back cover and Glyph interface, which has increased the number of LED segments to include new functions.
The phone is equipped with a OLED screen larger than Phone (1), since it goes from 6.55 to 6.7 inches with LTPO technology, with an adaptable frequency from 120Hz to 1Hz to guarantee optimal consumption; and is built with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile chip, as well as a 4700mAh battery.

According to Nothing, users have the option to charge the phone with fast charging, reaching 50 percent of the terminal’s charge in less than 20 minutes. In addition, it supports wireless and reverse charging.
In the image section, the new Phone (2) has a rear dual camera with two advanced sensors of 50MP, with a main lens upgraded to Sony IMX890. With it, it is possible to record video with 4K resolution at 60 fps, an experience that improves with Action Mode, which guarantees smooth recording with double integrated stabilization: Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The front lens, on the other hand, is 32MP and with it you can record in 1080p at 60fps.
The Glyph interface is once again the main attraction of Phone (2). With it, users can assign custom light and sound sequences to each contact and notification, so key information is at a glance when the device is face down.
SUSTAINABILITY
The technology company has insisted that Phone (2) “represents the set of sustainability initiatives” it has carried out over the years, since 80 percent of the phone’s plastic parts are made from recycled and biological materials.
Both the structure and the buttons and the SIM tray, for their part, are made of 100 percent recycled aluminum and the 100 percent of the copper sheets of the main board are also recycled.
Nothing Phone (2) can be purchased in both white and dark gray and it is possible to choose three different configurations: 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM (649 euro), 12GB and 256GB (699 euro) and 12GB and 512GB internal storage (799 euro).
The brand has commented that users in Spain will be able to pre-order the Phone (2) from July 17 at 00:00 (mainland Spain). It will not be until July 21 at midnight when it officially goes on sale in this country.
