North Korea records its first day without cases of "fever" since the outbreak of the coronavirus in April

July 30 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The North Korean government announced this Saturday that the country has registered zero cases of “fever” for the first time since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in the country in April.

According to the official North Korean news agency, KCNA, the state emergency epidemic prevention headquarters has not detected any cases in the last few hours, by which time another 13 people have fully recovered from the disease.

The official balance of the North Korean authorities puts at 4,772,813 confirmed cases of “fever”, as described by the North Korean authorities, between the end of April and July 29. Of these, at least 4,772,535 fully recovered and 204 were undergoing treatment.


The country confirmed on July 11 a total of 74 deaths from this “malicious epidemic”, in the words of its leader, Kim Jong Un. The new balance maintains the number of fatalities.
