Oct. 8 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Japanese authorities have reported the impact of a North Korean projectile in the Sea of Japan, outside the exclusive economic zone of the Japanese country, in a new ballistic test of the North Korean regime.
Japanese government sources quoted by NHK public television have reported the impact and the Japanese Coast Guard has assured that it has not received any information of any damage caused by the projectile to any Japanese vessel.
North Korea is subject to international sanctions due to its nuclear weapons program. UN Security Council resolutions also prohibit ballistic missile tests.
Likewise, Pyongyang has spent years developing missiles capable of reaching not only South Korea and Japan, but also that can carry warheads to the United States, and has declared itself a nuclear power.
