Pyongyang insists it has no interest in “revealing to the public” its new weapons systems

The vice director of the Department of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of North Korea, Kim Yo Jong, sister of the country’s leader, Kim Jong Un, described this Friday as “false” the information about the shipment of weapons to Russia in support of the invasion of Ukraine.
“I will not give any other explanation for this, but I feel the need to address the fact that hostile forces are misleading the public with the false rumor that the weapons systems produced by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) “They are ‘for export to Russia,'” Kim said, according to the North Korean state news agency, KCNA.
In that sense, he explained that they have “no intention” of “revealing them to the public”, which is why “the possibility of exporting their weapons to any country cannot be discussed.”
The sister of the North Korean leader has insisted that Pyongyang’s objective is not to “publicize or export”, but to “prepare” for deterrence and war to avoid being in military inferiority before the “enemy.”
Both the United States and the European Union have expressed concern over reports of the use of North Korean weapons by the Russian Army in Ukraine, and have issued numerous sanctions against entities and individuals related to this arms transfer.
