Two planes have collided in terminal 3 of Heathrow airport in London, without registering any victims or flight delays. The aircraft only suffered damage to their wings. It is a plane British Airways (BA) and another of Virgin Atlantic.

“We are working with the emergency services and our airline partners in response to an incident involving two grounded aircraft today,” a Heathrow spokesperson said. “They have not registered passengers wounded and we do not anticipate there will be any continued impact on airport operations,” he said.

The Virgin plane, a Boeing 787-9had completed a flight and had no passengers on board while being towed to another part of the airfield when it collided with the parked BA aircraft.

A Virgin Atlantic spokesperson explained that the wingtip of one of its empty planes came into contact with another plane while it was being towed from Terminal 3.

“The safety of our passengers and crew is always our top priority. We can confirm that there were no passengers on board the Virgin Atlantic aircraft” during the incident, the Virgin spokesperson said, adding that the company has initiated an investigation. “complete and exhaustive investigation” about what happened.
