The origin of the strike is in the unhappy company staff Security Masterwhich manages security at Charleroi airport, after its management reported that it will divide the service concession between two companies, since they fear that this decision will lead to a worsening of their working conditions and remuneration.
The airline TUI Fly, which had planned to operate two flights to Tenerife and Murcia from Charleroi, has diverted them to Brussels international airport and informed passengers of the change.
The strike by security personnel these days has generated huge lines at security checkpoints, which have ended up extending to the outside of the crowded facilities.
This has meant that hundreds of passengers have not been able to board on time, causing delays in several flights, which is why it has been decided to suspend flights out of Charleroi, but those of arrivals are maintained.
