Nintendo Won't Release a New Switch Model This Fiscal Year

As is often the case from time to time, the possible launch of a Nintendo Switch Pro continues to be rumored or other variants that, in general, would mean the development of a new console, but as we can read in Nikkei, The CEO of Nintendo has been interviewed and it has been explained that, at a minimum, there will be no new hardware during this fiscal year.

This means that, unlike a calendar year, which would end in December 2022, the fiscal year ends in March 2023, so definitely this Christmas we will still have to buy an OLED Nintendo Switch in case we want the latest of the latest in terms of Nintendo Switch hardware.

Likewise, the president of the company explains that he is not entirely sure of being able to manufacture all the consoles that they would like, because at least you already know that they are going to have to manufacture fewer consoles this summer –when they generally accumulate stock for future seasons- than in other summers.

This could also lead to an absence of consoles when the time comes, although it is true that the popularity of the Nintendo Switch is very high due in part to the large number of consoles that are already sold, so they could easily pass with the expected manufacturing volume, since 18 million sales are expected in the next 9 months.
