We have good news for all Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, since it was this week that its managers released a new update that brings some interesting news.
As you surely remember, the Switch Online app came along with the hybrid console’s paid service to allow users to have voice chat that made the online game much more fluid.
However, and in the face of criticism for the simplicity of the application, Nintendo has kept working on it so that it can offer more options. It is because of this that the 2.2.0 update is now available and it brings various improvements.
Here you can see them:
- You can now send friend requests using your friend code. (Accepting a friend request requires a Nintendo Switch console)
- You can now copy your friend code as a URL and/or save it as a QR code, which others can use to send you friend requests
- Other minor changes have also been implemented
- System requirements have been updated to iOS 14.0

As you could see, now the users of the application will be able to send friend requests from their cell phones, something that will facilitate the process, since they will not have to turn on their console every time.
On the other hand, it is also mentioned that some minor changes and the typical bug fixes were made, so without a doubt the Nintendo Switch Online app continues to improve as the days go by.
