Nintendo launches Alarmo: an alarm clock that detects movement

How does Alarmo, the new Nintendo clock, work?

Alarm is an alarm clock that uses a motion sensor. The screen, which must face the person, detects movements and plays sounds, music and effects as soon as you wake up. When you get up, the alarm will stop without having to press a switch.

On the contrary, if you do not get up, Alarm intensifies your alarms, which you can choose from among the 35 available from 5 Nintendo games:

Mario Odyssey
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wilde
Splatoon 3
Pikmin 4
Ring Fit Adventure

The screen will also be personalized according to the chosen video game. The alarm clock has the option to link your Nintendo account to download new alarms inspired by games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing: New Horizons through free updates as they become available.

Customize your Alarm

The watch detects your movement and sleep activity, and summarizes it in a statistic in which you can see how much time you spend in bed, how much you have moved and how long it takes you to get up.

In addition, it has other functions that can help:

Placid sounds: They serve to relax when you have gone to bed.
Energy mode: gradually intensify the alarm the longer it takes you to get up
Soft mode: for a more consistent wake-up experience
Button mode: to use the alarm clock in a traditional way, in which the alarm must be deactivated by touching the button
Time signal: Animations of Nintendo characters to mark the time change.

How much does it cost and when will it be available?

Alarmo has an official price of $99 and will begin its temporary exclusive sale for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers until mid-January 2025.

At the moment, the official page of Mexico has not added it in its advertisements, it is available on the official channels of other European countries such as Spain.
