Animal Crossing Campers: Pocket Camp – NINTENDO
Aug. 23 (Portaltic/EP) –
Nintendo has announced the closure of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, whose online services will end in November, although the company is already working on a paid version that will allow users to play with their saved data.
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is a free-to-play social game that allows users to decorate and manage their own campsite, interact with other users (campers), and participate in special events.
The online service of this game will end on November 29, seven years after it began, as reported by Nintendo on its website. This means that players will no longer be able to access an arrival on that date.
However, Nintendo is working on a paid app that will allow online play with saved data. It is currently in development, and will allow data to be transferred using a linked Nintendo Account.
This paid app will retain the basic gameplay and controls of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, but will lose those that relied on an internet connection, such as visits between campers and gift giving.
The company has assured that it will share more details about this new application in October.
