The Serie nier originally debuted a little over 12 years ago and unfortunately became one of the series that failed to be successful enough to ensure its immediate continuation. It took almost 7 years for Square Enix to pick up the IP and offer another attempt that had a much better result. In fact, the proposal was so successful that it continues to reap great rewards and a new sales achievement has just been revealed.
NieR: Automata It went on sale just over 5 years ago exclusively for PlayStation 4 on console and quickly became one of the best titles of the generation. It did incredibly well in sales if we take into account the poor performance of its predecessor and its sales increased when it arrived on Xbox 1 year later.

How many copies has it sold? NieR: Automata?
On several occasions Square Enix reported on how well the title had done in the market. The last time we heard about it was in February of last year, when it was confirmed that 5.5 million units had already been sold.
Well, 16 months later Square Enix spoke again about the game’s sales and revealed that the figure is higher, precisely increased 1 million, since the title starring androids 2B, AB and 9S has already sold 6.5 million copies in all the world.

There’s a lot nier for the next few years
