June 28 (Portaltic/EP) –
the social app by Niantic camp fire Now available to all Pokémon Go trainers, it introduces a new team-up feature to engage in raids with other users and discover local communities.
This service, which has a version for Apple -available in the App Store- and for Android -Google Play-, makes “participating in local and remote incursions easier”, as explained by the company in a statement.
To access campfire, Pokémon Go trainers just have to touch the green icon of the map, located in the right corner of the game for ‘smartphones’. In this you can see all the raids and flares – an indication that the player who ignited it is on the way – that are active nearby.
With this map, players will be able to prepare their activities in advance. In additionactivity updates that happen in real time around the players indicate where the action is happening in the game, so you can meet more players quickly.
Niantic recently introduced functionality to Campfire that allows players to participate in team raids. Once this characteristic has been chosen, they must either participate as hosts or join the raids as mere participants.
In case of doing it as hosts, players will be able to form groups of up to five trainers with other nearby users. Then, they can be added as friends without having to leave the group and, once listed as friendsusers will be able to return to the game and invite new friends to participate in the raid.
On the contrary, if you want to participate in a raid without inviting other users, you can also use the ‘In Team’ tool. Once this other option has been chosen and once the raid has started, players will be matched with a host and other random Trainers.
Finally, Niantic has indicated that Campfire, which is already available globally, also allows players to communicate with predefined messages with the rest of the Trainers in the group to coordinate.
