The star of PSG and the ‘Seleção’, Neymar, published a video this Thursday in support of the re-election of far-right president Jair Bolsonaro, in the first open political demonstration of a Brazilian team player for Sunday’s elections.
The ’10’ of the ‘Canarinha’, focused on trying to win the sixth championship in the Qatar World Cup, released a 13-second clip on the Tik Tok network in which he is seen repeating a ‘jingle’ from the president’s campaign.
“Vote, vote and confirm: 22 is Bolsonaro,” repeats ‘Ney’, 30, in relation to the number of the president’s candidacy, which faces former leftist president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, a favorite in the polls.
A few minutes later, Bolsonaro replied part of the video on his Twitter account, accompanied by a message of thanks in which he promoted his re-election and the sixth world title in Qatar.
“Thank you @neymarjr!” he wrote.
The attacker, who in the images also forms the number 22 with his fingers, made the publication on his account with 8.1 million followers a day after sending a video to Bolsonaro in gratitude for visiting the headquarters of the Institute Neymar Jr, a center for children founded by the crac in Praia Grande, in the state of Sao Paulo.
The video of this Thursday of the maximum figure of the five-time champions breaks the silence of the soccer players of the Brazilian team, whose popularity has declined in recent years, about the polarized presidential election.
