Resident Evil Village is the latest installment in the series, which once again featured the character Ethan Winters, whom players met in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Well, if you were interested in the plot of Ethan and his family, then you will have to prepare to let it go, since Capcom confirmed that it will end soon.
Ethan Winters starred in the last 2 titles of the series and his daughter would take the reins of the DLC that he will receive Resident Evil Village, Shadow of the Rose. It is natural that some players started to grow fond of this family, but unfortunately the story will no longer revolve around them, since the DLC will be the last content that they will star in.
This was revealed by director Kento Kinoshita, who in an interview with IGN confirmed that Capcom is “creating the story of Shadow of Rose to conclude the saga of the Winters family.

Which characters will star in the next resident Evil?
This would tacitly confirm that the next main installments in the series will either feature entirely new protagonists or bring back old characters from the series.
Unfortunately, the only thing fans can do is speculate on this, as producer Masachika Kawata revealed that they “absolutely cannot” share anything regarding the future of the series.
The DLC Shadow of Rose It will debut on October 28, 2023 and you will be able to play it on the consoles in which the base title is available.
