New generation of NZXT H7 cases
NZXT’s new family of high performance cases is now available. With a mid-tower format, the new NZXT H7 They are available in three variants with different characteristics, but all under a common design that evolves the characteristic appearance of the brand’s boxes such as the H710 and where aesthetics and functionalities have been taken care of, but with a more compact size.
NZXT H7, H7 Flow and H7 Elite are the three models that make up this range. All of them use SECC Steel for their structure and finishes, combined with panels of tempered glass to see inside. They support ATX and below motherboards, and also 27.2 cm E-ATX.
Available in white, black, or also in a combination of both in the case of the H7 and H7 Flow, these boxes use a internal dual-chamber design, with a large clean main space and without elements that restrict air flow, where the motherboard and the different main components are placed. Below, another separate compartment makes room for the power supply and hard drives.
The design of all NZXT H7 allows a direct access to components from the sides either from the top without the use of tools. The space for cable management has also been improved, now wider and wider, to organize the assembly and leave a clean and tidy computer, something that also helps with cooling Naturally, the practical and characteristic vertical column is maintained that hides the cables that could be exposed and that is already a sign of the brand.
Advanced cooling capabilities with up to 7 x 140mm fans
The NZXT’s cooling capabilities are extensive, with all models in the series focusing on maximizing cooling capacity, so there’s room for a total of seven fans. Three of them on the front, one on the back and three on the top. Each of them can be 120mm or 140mm.
Each and every one of the air inlets has its own removable and washable filtration system. In addition, several fans are included as standard depending on the model to be able to build a computer with good air flow without having to purchase them separately.
In the case of NZXT H7 and H7 Flowwe have two fans NZXT F120Q of 120 mm in its special version for boxes, one located in the front part and another in the back part. Each of them is capable of rotating at a maximum of 1200 RPM and pushing an air flow of 62.18 CFM with a pressure of 1.05mm-H2O.
In the case of NZXT H7 Elite, we have four 140mm fans. The one in charge of extracting the hot air is a NZXT F140Q version for boxes, with 1,200 RPM, a flow of 99.56 CFM and a pressure of 1.14 mm-H2O. It is accompanied by three NZXT F140 RGB front fans with a PWM rotation range of 500 to 1,800 RPM. At their maximum speed they push 89.48 CFM of air with a pressure of 3.39 mm-H2O.
They also don’t lack support for liquid cooling systems, either in the form of AiO kits like the ones NZXT itself has or custom systems. In all cases, we can mount triple radiators of up to 360 mm in the front and front, along with another 140 mm in the rear.
Connectivity and components
In terms of connectivity, the NZXT H7 Series includes support for the handy USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 10Gbps connector on the front, accompanied by two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 and a 3.5mm minijack audio connector.
Regarding the supported components, the good use of space allows to place ultra high end graphics No problem. There is space for models that exceed 3 slots and a length of 40cm long, which means that the vast majority of graphics cards on the market can be placed in the H7. There’s also room for high-profile coolers up to 18.5 centimeters in height.
We have already given an overview of the NZXT H7, and now we are going to know the differences between the three versions: H7, H7 Flow and H7 Elite.
Differences and specifications of the NZXT H7, H7 Flow and H7 Elite
The three variants of the NZXT H7 share all the features and novelties that we have mentioned, but in addition, each model (H7, H7 Flow and H7 Elite) has its own specific characteristics in order to offer a case for each type of user.
NZXT H7, elegant black and white design
Available in white, black, or a mixed black and white model, the NZXT H7 has a smooth front made of SECC Steel that gives it a sober, clean and elegant appearance. The air in the front area enters from the side and goes directly to the interior, where it leaves through the back or the upper area. It is the box that best represents the NZXT design and that can be recognized with the naked eye.
NZXT H7 Flow: Extra cooling thanks to its perforated front
The NZXT H7 Flow It maintains all the features and functionality of the NZXT H7, but prioritizes cooling. To do this, the smooth front gives way to a grille or “mesh” front, which allows air to enter directly through. This box is aimed at users looking to build computers with high cooling needs, for example those that have overclocks or very high-end graphics.
NZXT H7 Elite: RGB lighting and four 140mm fans along with a tempered glass front
Finally, the NZXT H7 Elite It is the model designed for those who want to give their PC a more striking touch. This variant of the H7, in addition to having all its features, adds a tempered glass front panel that allows a direct view of the three 140mm NZXT F140 RGB fans and equipped with an eye-catching configurable RGB lighting halo. In addition, they also include a 140mm F140Q rear fan.
The RGB lighting of the three front fans can be controlled thanks to an integrated RGB and fan controller, compatible with the NZXT CAM software with which you can manage lighting and fan speed directly with the click of a button. Altogether, the controller NZXT RGB Fan Controller supports six RGB lighting channels and three independent fan channels.

For example, if we have the H7 or the H7 Flow and we also want to place RGB lighting, we can get hold of the NZXT RGB Fan Controller and being able to manage 6 RGB channels and three groups of fans with their own RPM curves, all from the NZXT CAM software from Windows.
Many of us like to be able to place the graphs in a vertical format because of the striking touch that it gives to any computer. All NZXT H7s are compatible with the NZXT Vertical Graphics Mounting Kit available on their website, which includes a PCI Express 4.0 bracket and riser cable that attaches directly to the NZXT H7’s expansion ports and allows you to put vertical graphs.
