MADRID Dec. 7 (EUROPA PRESS) –
At least five people have been killed in the last 24 hours as a result of Israeli bombings against southern Lebanon despite the ceasefire in force.
An alleged member of the Lebanese party-militia Hezbollah was killed this Saturday morning in a bombing carried out by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), which has once again accused the Shiite group of violating the ceasefire by maintaining its activities in southern Lebanon.
The two parties have accused each other of failing to comply with their signed commitments, which should theoretically be supervised by a monitoring mechanism headed by the United States and France, the main promoters of an agreement that has at least reduced the escalation of tension in the area.
Throughout the afternoon, the official Lebanese news agency NNA reported four more deaths in an Israeli attack on a home in Beit Lif, in which six other people were also injured. All victims are civilians.
The afternoon and the previous night were marked by attacks perpetrated by the Israeli army in the vicinity of Marjayun that caused explosions that could be heard as far as Nabatiyé and the east of the country.
