During the event held in Berlin, the IFA 2024, the manufacturer HONOR has presented its Magic V3 foldable phone. A phone that already told us that it would incorporate Artificial Intelligence from the company itself, along with Google Cloud functions for translation, magic eraser and notes.
The Honor Magic V3 is presented as one of the thinnest foldable phones, even compared to the Honor Magic V2 which is only 9.9mm thick. This new Honor Magic V3 is only 9.2 mm thick, and when open it reduces to 4.35 mm, and weighs 226 grams, a weight similar to that of an iPhone 15 Pro Max. It comes in 3 colors and different finishes, in black, green and brown.
Inside we find a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, along with a single configuration of 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
As for the rear, we find a 3-camera arrangement in a hexagonal island. A main sensor with 3.5 optical zoom, achieving a 100X digital zoom. A 50 MP wide-angle camera with OIS stabilization and a 40 MP ultra-wide-angle camera.
It is certified for 500,000 folds by SGS and has a crease of just 78 um. It has been covered with a layer that is 5 times more scratch-resistant and 20% more impact-resistant. The external screen also receives a 5-star rating from SGS for shock and scratch resistance. IPX8 water resistance could not be missing.
The battery is 5,150 mAh and includes a dual E1 chip with 3 times more efficiency for charging and in the long run it translates into a longer battery life. In addition, it comes with 66W fast charging for cable and 50W wireless.
All this hardware is accompanied by software that has taken advantage of the larger screen when open, such as side-by-side comparison or multitasking available to open multiple applications. A total of more than 150 main applications that are available to run with this Honor Magic V3.
