New Charity Lounge and Arcade Brings Entertainment and Charity to Adairville

ADAIRVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) – A new establishment combining entertainment, dining and charity has opened in Adairville, bringing a unique touch to the community.

The Dueling Pistols Saloon and Sadie Nauy Charitable Gaming Hall celebrated their grand opening on Monday, offering more than just a night out by contributing to local causes.

The hall, named after the infamous duel between Andrew Jackson and Charles Dickinson that occurred near Adairville, offers a space for the community to come together, while the charity games room supports children and seniors in need.

The new venue was founded by the Sadie Nauy Charitable Foundation.

“Sadie Nauy, Aunt Sadie, is a long-time resident of Atlantic City,” said Deborah Hirsch, president and CEO of the foundation. “She worked for rich people her entire life as an accountant, and when she was 100 years old, she decided she wanted to pass on her legacy and help children in need and seniors in need throughout the Atlantic City community.”

Adairville Mayor Donna Blake expressed optimism that the saloon and arcade will attract new visitors to the small town, located near the Kentucky-Tennessee border.

“I think with something like this we can become a destination city where we will attract people from Tennessee, from Northern Kentucky, who are coming here now,” Blake said. “I think it’s going to be wonderful.”

Beyond attracting visitors, the new location is already making a difference locally. Although the official grand opening just took place, the foundation has contributed to Adairville through donations to the Adairville police department and school.

“They are very interested in helping children. Everything they do is for a child,” said Debra Kelly, treasurer of the foundation. “They send children to camps. Wherever they are, they find the less fortunate children and help them.”

The hall aims to be a welcoming place for local residents as well.

“You can have dance nights where the guys come and watch the games and the ladies watch the games or sit and talk,” Blake said. “I think it will help us come together as a community.”

For the foundation, the place aims to continue Sadie Nauy’s legacy of charity, especially for the most vulnerable.

“That’s what this is all about,” Hirsch said. “Reach out to the community to do good for all those in need.”

The Dueling Pistols Saloon and Sadie Nauy Charitable Gaming Hall are located at 109 Prohibition Ave. in Adairville. They open at 11 a.m., seven days a week, and games begin at noon.
