QNAP has announced two new NAS within its budget range: The QNAP TS-432X and TS-632. These are models with 4 and 6 SATA III bays for 3.5-inch hard drives that also stand out for offering 10 GbE connectivity as standard.
This type of connectivity is spreading to several ranges and is no longer exclusive to the company’s most expensive models. In fact, if the TS-432X has a 10 GbE SFP+ port, in the case of the largest model, the TS-632X, we have two of these 10 GbE ports. Additionally, these NAS also include two 2.5 GbE RJ45 ports for greater network connection capacity.
Two USB-A 3.0 complete the external connectivity, which can be expanded with internal PCI Express 3.0 x4 cards.
Internally, we have a processor Alpine AL524 with 4 ARM cores at 2 GHz accompanied by 4 GB of RAM expandable to 16 GB. Although the integrated memory does not have ECC (error correction), it supports this type of memory if you want to integrate it. There is also support for AES 256-bit hardware encryption.
The company has not yet revealed the final prices for Spain, but everything seems to indicate that they will be reasonable considering its specifications.
