BIOSTAR has launched the new motherboard compatible with Intel Raptor Lake, as well as previous Intel Alder Lake, with LGA1700 socket and Z790 chipset. this new BIOSTAR Z790-A Silver It features the high-end chipset along with DDR5 memory and state-of-the-art bus card slot PCIe 5.0.
The new BIOSTAR Z790-A Silver board has heatsinks that keep critical components around the CPU at a better temperature. With an LGA 1700 socket you can install latest generation Intel Raptor Lake processors together with a maximum of 128 GB of DDR5 memory at 6,000 MHz divided into 4 modules. For storage, we have included 3 PCIe 4.0 compliant M.2 connectors, where in addition one of them is compatible with SATA. The main connector also features a sink which will keep the unit at a better temperature. It also has 6 SATA 3 connectors so you don’t run out of space.
You can connect your peripherals thanks to the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A and Type-C ports which it has on the back, as well as internal connectors to add additional ports. To connect to the internet you can do it through your 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port and for video you have a DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 2.1.
The manufacturer has not announced a recommended price for this new model.
