Low-profile graphics cards and compact sizes do not usually seek power, but rather their usefulness is generally limited to providing extra video outputs and some multimedia acceleration to systems with a reduced size. That is, in fact, the only possible justification for ASRock announcing the launch of a new graphics card based on the AMD Radeon RX 6400, a basic range model of the last generation with Navi 24 GPU, launched more than two and a half years ago.
This ASRock Radeon RX 6400 Low Profile It has a length of only 15 centimeterswith a height of less than half that figure: 6.89 cm. Naturally, it only occupies one PCIe slot and is cooled by a modest module equipped with an aluminum block and a small 40 mm fan that is only activated when necessary.
It has a PCI Express x16 connector, although it only uses 4 lines. Its speeds remain at AMD’s reference speeds, so we have 2,039 MHz “game” speed and a boost of 2,321 MHz. At the connectivity level there are only two ports: an HDMI 2.1 and a Displayport 1.4a.
Its price has not been revealed, but it should be a fairly economical alternative. It does not need a power connector either.
