New AMD Software Adrenalin Edition drivers with support and performance improvements in Dead Island 2

AMD already have available new drivers AMD Software Adrenalin Edition which have been updated to version 23.4.2. In this new version has been added support for new games, Dead Island 2, Boundary and for additional Vulkan extensions. Furthermore, for Dead Island 2It has been improved performance compared to the previous version of the drivers 23.4.1, until 14% more with 4K resolution and the AMD Radeon RX 7900 Series and 15% more with the same resolution using the AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series.

In this version they have taken advantage, as in most occasions, to fix some existing issues in previous versions of the drivers, among them we find:

• Errors in the water playing Red Dead Redemption 2 when using the Vulkan API.
• There may be missing text or a blank disk in Google Earth VR.
• The application may intermittently crash when the render preview window is enabled in Unreal Engine 5.
• When updating the drivers, a black or white window may appear depending on the display settings.

have also appeared some known issues that will be solved in later versions of the drivers, some of these are:

• High power consumption using high resolution displays and refresh rate when idle with Radeon RX 7000 Series graphics.
• Video stuttering or performance drops may occur during gaming or video on some extended display configurations with RX 7000 Series graphics.
• Some VR games or applications may perform less than expected with RX 7000 Series graphics.
