Some television models will also be affected, mainly those manufactured by Sony in 2014 that are part of the X85, W85, W95, X9, X95, X83, S9, W5, W6, W7, W70 and X80 series.

Netflix launches user interface

The company did not detail the reasons why it made this decision with Apple devices or Sony televisions, however, on Thursday it announced that it is testing a new user interface to retain the audience’s attention.

According to Pat Flemming, senior director of member products at Netflix, the changes are based on user behavior based on looking at different parts of the Netflix home screen when trying to find a title that interests them.

Therefore, among other changes in the application, the menu button has been moved from the left to the top of the screen. A new “My Netflix” tab has been added, with the shows or movies that the user has started watching or those they have saved to watch later.

While options like “Categories,” “New & Popular,” and “My List” have been removed, Netflix will continue to offer personalized suggestions to each user, as the recommendation algorithm has not been changed as part of the redesign, according to Flemming.
