Netflix renews The Witcher: there will be a fifth season but with Liam Hemsworth

The actor repeatedly stated that he did not reach an agreement with the creatives regarding the script for the series, so he will step aside.

From season 4, the starring role will be taken by Liam Hemsworth, who seems to have convinced Netflix as a fifth season is coming up. Sophie Holland, casting director of The Witcher confirmed the information in an interview with the media Deadline.

The Witcher Season 5 Confirmed

“We are about to start shooting the fourth season with Liam Hemsworthand there will be a brief hiatus before moving directly into season five.” Holland detailed for the portal. Hemsworth has not only committed to the fourth installment, but will also be present in the fifth season.

Let’s remember that Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, the project’s director, commented on several occasions that they wanted this to be a star Netflix series and that they had “too many stories to tell” about Geralt de Rivia and Siri.
