MADRID 6 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reported this Wednesday that he had a telephone conversation with the virtual winner of the United States elections, Donald Trump, with whom they spoke about continuing to work on “Israel’s security” and combating “Iranian threat.”
“The prime minister was one of the first to call the American president-elect,” Netanyahu’s office highlighted in a brief message he published on his social networks.
“The conversation was warm and cordial. The prime minister congratulated Trump on his election victory and both agreed to work together for Israel’s security. The two also spoke about the Iranian threat,” he added.
Previously, Netanyahu highlighted that Trump’s “historic” return to the White House after beating the Democratic candidate, Kamala Harris, “offers a new beginning for the United States and a powerful new commitment” to Israel.
