Netanyahu calls for "deradicalize" to Gaza and attacks pro-Palestinian protesters

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the US Congress on Wednesday, July 24, for the fourth time, a record for a foreign political leader. In the opening words of his speech, Netanyahu said that it is necessary for the United States and Israel to remain “united” to win against those who want to “destroy civilization,” after stressing that October 7, the day of the Hamas attack on Israeli territory, will be “a date that will live in infamy.” On Tuesday night, at least 200 people were arrested for protesting against his visit inside the Congress headquarters. Netanyahu’s arrival opens gaps and divisions, both among US congressmen and among the general public, in the midst of the ongoing war in Gaza, where more than 39,000 people have died due to the Israeli offensive.
